Scratch Food Fast

From chopping and prepping our fresh produce to creating the perfect scratch-made sauce, for over 34 years we have served quality flavorful dishes. Today, we still serve original recipes created by founder, Chef Robert Del Grande. In the kitchen, Del Grande was an artist, experimenting with flavors to create innovative, flavorful dishes that could be served up quick. Del Grande was inspired by the quality and creativity of European cafe cuisine and drew that into his deep Southwest roots, creating the best of both worlds and flavors that we enjoy at Cafe Express today.

Our History

We opened the first Cafe Express in 1984 out of a passionate desire to craft quick, flavorful meals from fresher ingredients. Back then our recipes were crafted by Chef Del Grande – a James Beard Award winner. Over 34 years later, we’re still ahead of our time serving scratch food – fast, crafted by people who care.
